Project Phases & Timeline

DEVELOPMENT

The development phase of a solar project takes up to three years and requires the navigation of numerous regulations and government agencies. Geenex is here to guide landowners and other partners through this process.

Geenex can offer its proven expertise with land acquisitions, facility permitting, utility interconnection and power purchase agreements. Our company is uniquely focused on the development of solar facilities and we are in an optimal position to provide the best leadership and oversight.

CONSTRUCTION

The construction phase of the project is when the most activity occurs on the site and can take from 12 to 24 months to complete. Hundreds of workers at one time may be active installing racking, placing solar panels, and building the infrastructure needed to generate power.

OPERATION

Solar facilities can operate for more than 40 years, providing clean power to our communities and a steady income to the parties involved: the project owner, the local jurisdiction and the landowners.
